At CrossFit Alberton, progress isn’t just measured in PRs or how fast you finish a workout.
It’s built through moments — milestones that show up in effort, consistency, and how much you’ve grown since the day you started.
Whether you’re in your first few weeks or a few years into your journey, each phase brings something special. Here’s a look at some of the key milestones every CrossFitter will experience along the way.
🥇 Phase 1: Your First 3 Months
Building confidence, forming habits, and finding your rhythm.
This is where it all begins — showing up, learning the basics, and realizing you’re capable of more than you thought.
Milestones:
- Book your Free Intro and complete On-Ramp – that first step takes courage, and it’s where everything starts.
- Try your first Saturday Partner Class – where fitness meets fun and you get to experience the community vibe.
- Train 3 times a week consistently – the first real sign that this is becoming part of your lifestyle.
- Set up your Goal Setting Session – align your goals inside and outside the gym so we can help you get there.
- Track your first workout in Octiv – start logging results and celebrate your progress over time.
- Hit your first 13 sessions in a month (Committed Club) – consistency always wins.
- Improve your basic nutrition habits – start eating to support your training and recovery. If you’re not sure where to start, chat to one of the coaches — we’ll help guide you.
- Embrace the community – it’s not just a gym. It’s a group of people who support you, encourage you, and push you to get better — inside and outside the gym.
💪 Phase 2: Your First Year
Developing consistency, strength, and confidence.
This is where training becomes part of your routine — you’re fitter, stronger, and more capable than ever before.
Milestones:
- Reach 6 months of consistent training – your routine becomes your rhythm.
- Hit your 100th class – a huge sign of dedication.
- Do your first CrossFit Open – test your fitness and have some fun competing with your community.
- Achieve your first Rx workout – when you realize all your hard work is paying off.
- Join a Nutrition Challenge or 6-Week Reset – learn that results are built on habits, not diets.
- Complete your first 5 km Run – another layer of fitness unlocked.
- Learn your first skill: Pull-Up, Double Under, or Toes-to-Bar – big “CrossFit moments” everyone remembers.
- Participate in a Bring-a-Buddy Day – share the experience with someone new.
- Earn your spot in the Super Committed Crew (12 months straight) – consistency at its best.
- Take part in a Hero Workout like Murph – test your physical and mental grit while honoring something bigger.
- Notice life changing outside the gym – better sleep, more energy, and more confidence in everything you do.
🧠 Phase 3: Your First 3 Years
Mastery, longevity, and leadership.
At this stage, you’ve built something special — a lifestyle. You train with purpose, you set goals that inspire others, and you realize how far you’ve come.
