Third Baby & The Weight-Gain Struggle: They Weren’t Lying!

Everyone always says — especially the older ones — that the older you get, the harder it gets. 😂
Well… let me tell you something… they did not lie! 😂

With all three of my pregnancies, I stopped training and started eating. You’d think that being in the fitness industry I would’ve been leading by example, right? But nope! Even though I’m qualified in pre- and post-pregnancy fitness, I still had zero desire to train. The knowledge was there — the motivation was GONE.

Let’s Talk Weight Gain… 😅

Oh man, it’s been a journey.
I picked up 20kg… AGAIN — after saying I wouldn’t. And this time, losing the last few kilos has been ROUGH.

Luckily, I have a very honest husband and kids. They don’t hold back on telling me:

“Mom, your bum is still big!” 😂

Hard to hear? Yes.
True? …Also yes. 😅

I’m down to the final 3kg — but wow, these 3kg are fighting for their lives. I just can’t stop finishing my kids’ leftovers. And don’t even get me started on that last cheese curl in the bag. 😂

I kept telling Cam how hard I’m struggling and how I “just don’t understand” why the scale won’t move.
Until… he kept reminding me about:

✅ That sneaky chocolate
✅ Those leftover bites
✅ And the occasional “Old Mac Donald’s” drive-through…

It’s once in a while — so it doesn’t count, right?
Wrong. It counts. Every. Single. Time. 😂

Discipline is Boring. But Necessary.

My husband is way more disciplined when it comes to food.
For the last month, I’ve been eating the exact same thing every day…

And it’s boring.
And it’s hard.
And I just want a Big Mac…

But I don’t want the Big Bum that comes with it. 😆

Another Setback

Just when I started getting momentum back, BOOM — ear surgery.
No training for 6 weeks.
Back to square one.

But here’s the thing…
I want to feel like the old Angie again — confident in my bikini on the beach. ☀️👙

Sometimes hearing the hard things isn’t nice — but what matters is whether we do something about it.

It’s easy to go for coffee with a friend and order the cake…
Harder to go home to tuna and rice cakes.
But if you have a goal — it’s never easy, hey?

A New Goal : SA Champs 🇿🇦

I entered South African Champs in November.
I need to weigh in at 48kg.

I might not hit the numbers I used to —
but if I can drop down and show up, that’s a victory on its own.

If anything will teach me discipline… it’s THIS. 😅

So wish me luck — and please don’t offer me donuts or cupcakes on your birthday.
Not because I don’t want them…
I absolutely do… but I also have a goal. 💪✨
