Let’s not beat around the bush — nutrition is hard for most people.
And it’s not because you’re lazy. It’s not because you don’t care.
The real issue?
We’ve lost our intuition around food.
We don’t eat when we’re hungry and stop when we’re full anymore.
We eat because it’s a certain time. Because we’re bored. Because we’re emotional. Or simply because food is there.
And to make things worse, we’re moving less than ever.
Back in the day, getting food meant walking, lifting, moving, hunting, or gathering. That daily activity was our gym.
Now? Uber Eats delivers dinner to your door while you’re lying on the couch. No effort. No movement.
So we’re stuck in this cycle:
- Eating more often (even when we don’t need to)
- Moving way less
- And wondering why we feel off, tired, or stuck
No wonder people are overwhelmed when they try to “fix” their nutrition.

Let’s Not Overcomplicate This
The biggest mistake most people make?
They try to overhaul everything at once.
Extreme diets. 30-day challenges. Cutting out whole food groups.
And yeah — it might work for a week or two. But then real life kicks in… and it falls apart.
The truth? You don’t need a complete overhaul.
You just need to start with the basics.
So that’s where we’re going to begin — with the low-hanging fruit.

What’s Low-Hanging Fruit?
It’s the stuff that’s actually messing with your progress every day.
Small habits that seem minor, but add up.
Things like:
- Too much sugar
- Mindless snacking
- Fizzy drinks or takeaway meals
- Eating out of boredom
- Drowning food in sauces or extras
Let’s take sugar as an example.
Instead of jumping onto some strict low-carb diet, just start with reducing sugar.
That might look like:
- Cutting sugar from your coffee
- Swapping your fizzy drinks for sugar-free (or eventually, water)
- Replacing sweets with fruit
- Skipping the sauce or picking a lighter option
It’s not about being perfect.
It’s about being better than yesterday.
And here’s the cool thing — when you get a few small wins, you build momentum.
You start feeling better, and you start believing you can actually do this.

Start Where You Are
You don’t need to go keto. Or fast for 16 hours. Or never touch bread again.
You just need to find your low-hanging fruit — that one habit that’s easy to clean up and is dragging you down.
From there, it’s just one step at a time.
